Topical Scientific Workshop on Risk Assessment for the Sediment Compartment

The workshop aims to bring together experts in the field of sediment risk assessment to brainstorm and develop updated scientific principles for assessing the ecological risks of chemical substances for freshwater and marine sediments. The discussions will be reinforced by information of the recent developments for particular substance types (such as metals) and also of risk assessment methodologies applied in chemicals management outside the EU.

The Biocides Stakeholders' Day

The European Chemicals Agency organises its first Biocides Stakeholders' Day on 25 June 2013 in Helsinki.

In preparation for the application date of the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) on 1 September 2013, the Stakeholders' Day aims to engage key biocides stakeholders with information about the new regulation to ensure that companies are aware of their roles and available tools and resources to assist them in meeting their obligations.
