Applying a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5 °C/min, FAT 40'576/A showed an exothermic reaction starting at about 280 °C. A maximum temperature of 565 °C was measured in the sample cube during the exothermic reaction. At the end of the measurement, the test item was carbonized and coloured black. FAT 40'576/A shows a relative self-ignition temperature at about 283 °C.
