First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with plenty of water. If irritation

develops, seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, carbon dioxide, dry powder or foam may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

sulfur, water and hydrogen chloride together with some soot.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Carefully

transfer spillage to labelled waste containers, or use a

sealed industrial vacuum machine fitted with suitable

filtration system. Dispose of at a landfill site or by

incineration in accordance with local regulations. Wash

spill site with plenty of water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Goggles, gloves and full protective clothing should be worn.

If dust is likely to be liberated, wear self-contained

breathing apparatus. Avoid skin and eye contact.

Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, dark

place away from sources of ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 25-1000 g glass or polyethylene bottles packaged in 25 kg

and 50 kg fibre drums with steel or plastic lids.
