Description of key information

Since no effects were observed, a NOEC cannot be derived and the effect concentrations causing a 50% effect were estimated to be higher than 1000 mg/kg DW.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The long-term toxicity (assessed by reproduction) of the test item to sediment organisms (Lumbriculus variegatus) was assessed according to the OECD Guideline 225 for a duration of 28 days. According to the preliminary test, worms were exposed to 62.5, 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/kg DW of the test item.

No mortality and no effects on reproduction and on biomass increase were observed at all the concentrations tested.
