Description of key information

Not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The readily biodegradability of the test substance was tested in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 301 B (CIBA-GEIGY 1991a). 3 % biodegradation was observed after 28 d with the initial test concentration of 20 mg/L and 10 % biodegradation with the initial test concentration of 10 mg/L. The results are supported by a GLP guideline study according to OECD 301 C (Mitsubishi Chemical Safety Institute Ltd. 1994). No biodegradation was observed after 28 d. Therefore, the test substance is considered as poorly biodegradable.
