Additional information

The determination of the surface tension of an aqueous solution of FAT 40825/A was based on the OECD Guideline No. 115: "Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions" (1995) and on the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.5 "Surface tension", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.

The calibration factor was determined to be 1.0493 for double distilled water. In conclusion, the surface tension of FAT 40825/A in water (at a concentration of about 0.1 %) was determined to be 75.3 mN/mat 21.2 °C. FAT 40825/A is not a surface active substance.
