Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is considered as ready biodegradable, therefore a study on biodegradation in water and sediment (simulation tests) is not conducted.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (column 2) further biotic degradation testing shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation products. The choice of the appropriate test(s) depends on the results of the chemical safety assessment and may include simulation testing in appropriate media (e.g. water, sediment or soil). However, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Two studies on ready biodegradation according to OECD 301 B and 301 C showed that the test substance is readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. Therefore, tests on biodegradation in soil are not provided.
