First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If inhaling a large quantity, move to an area with fresh

air, keep warm and maintain rest. Consult physician if

necessary.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of clean water. Consult physician

immediately.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin with clean water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash mouth thoroughly with water. Consult physician

immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water.

The substance is non combustible and there is little hazard

for fire and/or explosion. If neighbouring areas are on

fire, move the material to a safe area.

Product arising from burning: The substance is non-combustible, and will not burn in case

of a fire.

Product determined by test: N

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: LAND SPILL

During handling, wear personal protective equipment (dust

proof mask, protective goggles and tested gloves) so as not

to inhale the powder, nor let it come into contact with the

skin.

Absorb splashed material using a vacuum cleaner or splash

water and then sweep so as not to create dust and shovel

recovered material into a container.

WATER SPILL

Recover it to a container in order for thick waste fluid not

to drain into rivers.

Handling and storage

Handling: When handling the substance use sealed devices, equipment,

containers or locally disposable devices as much as

possible.

During work and handling wear appropriate PPE, including

dust proof masks, eye protection(goggles) and protective

gloves.

Use LEV.

Storage: Store over silica gel, in darkness, at ambient humidity and

room temperature.

Keep containers tightly closed and secure them against

falling by taking the appropriate measures.

Avoid residues on the outside of the containers.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Paper bags, 10 kg.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: The substance is susceptible to thermal hydrolysis at high

temperatures. Decomposition products have been predicted

below:

300 °C  (3H2O) water released

400 °C  (5H2O) water released

900 °C  (SO3)  Sulfur trioxide released

> 900 °C (MgO residues) Magnesium oxide residues released

Chemical reaction with water: The substance will dissolve a little in water, however there

is no specific reaction with water.

Dust explosion: Under normal conditions of use this material does not

present a significant explosion hazard.

Furthermore, the substance is non-combustible and there is

little hazard for fire and/or explosion.
