Description of key information

The dissociation constant of the test substance at room temperature (circa 22°C) was determined within this study as pKa = 3.2 for the acid range, using the six mean values of three experiments.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
3.2

Additional information

A study was conducted according to OCED test guideline 112.

The dissociation constant of the test substance at room temperature (circa 22°C) was determined within this study as pKa = 3.2 for the acid range, using the six mean values of three experiments.

The pKa value for the alkaline range was not determined because it was not recognized as a real one. The investigations for the hydrolysis show the decomposition of the test substance in alkaline solutions. The abiotic hydrolysis data of all reactive-dyes, determined in the testing facility, resulted in a half-life period at pH 9 and 25 °C of less than one day.
