Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If signs of toxicity occur, seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate with copious amounts of water, for at least 15

minutes or until irritation subsides. Seek medical

attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with

copious amounts of water, for at least 15 minutes, If

irritation persists seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, dry chemical or foam may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should wear full protective clothing including

including self contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Protective clothing should be worn including, gloves, safety

glasses or goggles and respiratory protection. Eliminate all

sources of ignition. Contain spilled liquid with sand or

earth. Recover by pumping (use an explosion proof or hand

pump) or with a suitable absorbent (combustible materials

such as sawdust should NOT be uses). If liquid is too

viscous for pumping, scrape up with shovels or pails and

place in suitable containers for recycle or disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling: Local exhaust ventilation should be used. Mechanical

ventilation should be used in confined spaces. Chemical

resistant gloves and long sleeves should be worn along with

safety glasses with side shields. Appropriate respiratory

protection is also recommended. Use proper grounding

procedures.

Storage: Store in cool well ventilated place away from strong

oxidisers. Keep away from all sources of heat or ignition.

Protect from direct sunlight. Do not pressurise, cut, heat

or weld containers. Do not reuse empty containers without

commercial cleaning or reconditioning.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: UN-approved light steel drums or UN-approved 23000 litre

tanks (approximately 20 tons).
