Conclusion on classification

Based on the available data the substance leads to the classification R50/53 Very toxic to aquatic organisms and May cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment according to Directive 67/548/EEC.

The substance is not readily biodegradable and the lowest effect value found in toxicity tests is an EC50 of 0.998 mg/l and a NOEC of 0.207 mg/l obtained in an algae toxicity test.

According to Regulation EC1272/2008 including 2nd ATP 2011 (GHS), the available data for the substance leads to the classification Acute Cat 1, and Chronic Cat 2.
