Description of key information

The density of the substance is 1.2411 g/cm³ at 20 °C (guideline DIN 51757).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.24

Additional information

The result is given as density in unit g/cm³. For assessment the relative density, defined as follows, is preferred.

The relative density D204 of solids or liquids is the ratio between the mass of a volume of the substance, determined at 20 °C, and the mass of the same volume of water, determined at 4 °C. At this temperature the density of water is 0.999975 g/cm³.

To convert the density to relative density the following formula is used.

D204= pSubstance(20 °C) / pWater(4 °C)

The relative density has no dimension.
