Limited information is available in the ECB IULCID. It is referred to a study owned by Bayer AG, performed at CTL in 1987.

According to that study, the substance caused "mild sensitization" with a challenge concentration of 10%, and a "weak sensitization" with a challenge of 3%. No information is given whether the substance is a considered to be a skin sensitizer or not.

A Material safety data sheet by RÜTGERS Eibechemie GmbH, Holstendamm 1, D-25572 Büttel (dated 27.04.2001) gives the information, that the substance is not sensitizing in a guinea pig test (Magnussen Kligman test, OECD 406).
