The partition coefficient of the test material was determined in a 1-octanol/water two phase system using the shake flask method with HPLC analysis. The study conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 107 and EU Method A.8.

The concentration of the test material was determined in the two phase system at 1-octanol/water ratios of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:4. Each ratio was determined in triplicate and the average of the nine experiments taken as the mean partition coefficient.

Under the conditions of the study the partition coefficient of the test material was determined to be 0.0016 (± 0.0005); the Log Pow was determined to be -2.81 (± 0.13).


The GLP study was performed in accordance with standardised guidelines with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the relevant results. The study was therefore assigned a reliability score of 1 in line with the criteria of Klimisch (1997).

The available data are considered to be complete and the results determined, Pow = 0.0016 (± 0.0005) and Log Pow = -2.81 (± 0.13) were taken forward for risk assessment.
