Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Bioaccumulation of butylethylamine is unlikely, based on the low BCF estimate (Log BCF =0.849), rapid biodegradation, and polarity of the molecule.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
7.067 L/kg ww

Additional information

The Log BCF of butylethylamine was estimated using the BCFBAF program (v3.01) of the EPIWIN Suite v.4.0. The result was Log BCF=0.849 (BCF = 7.067 L/kg wet-wt) (GUBDH, 2011).

Based on the BCF estimate, the chemical structure and polarity along with the low log Pow and rapid degradation, no potential of bioaccumulation expected.
