Results and discussion

Preliminary study:
It could be shown with 31P-NMR analytic during a Zahn-Wellens-Test that after 24 days the parent compound THPC-urea oligomer has completely disappeared. As major metabolites trihydroxymethyl phosphine oxide (THPO) and bishydroxymethyl phosphonic acid (BMPA) were both found analytically.

Details on hydrolysis and appearance of transformation product(s):
Hydrolysis of THPC-urea is highly pH-dependent, as it is for THPC and THPS also. The fastest degradation occurs at pH 11. Major metabolites were trihydroxymethyl phosphine oxide (THPO) and bishydroxymethyl phosphonic acid (BMPA), which were both found.
Other kinetic parameters:
Degradation of THPS follows the first-order kinetics.
Details on results:
Hydrolysis of THPC-urea is highly pH-dependent, as it is for THPC and THPS also. The fastest degradation occurs at pH 11. Major metabolites were trihydroxymethyl phosphine oxide (THPO) and bishydroxymethyl phosphonic acid (BMPA), which were both found.
