Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the bioaccumulation in aquatic species study does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (the substance has a log octanol water partition coefficient less than -3).

This is supported by a QSAR determination. The QSAR determination of the BCF of the acid form of the substance using the BCF-model BCFBAF v.3.01 included in the Estimation Program Interface (EPI) Suite v4.1 revealed a value of 3.16 L/kg wwt (logBCF= 0.500) at 25°C. The predicted result can be considered reliable yielding a useful result for further assessment.

The substance is an organic salt of strong base NaOH and weak acid and hence it dissociates 100 % in water solution and its BCF depends on the property of the related acid.
