First-aid measures

Eye contact: Holding the eyelids apart, flush eyes promptly with copious flowing water for at least 20 minutes. Get medical attention immediatly.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and pletny of water for at least 15 minutes. Wash clothing before re-use. Get medical attention immediatly.

Inhalation: In case of dust inhalation or breathing fumes released from heated material, remove person to fresh air. Keep him quiet and warm. Apply artificial respiration if necessary and get medical attention immediatly.

Ingestion: If swallowed, was mouth thoroughly with plenty of water and give water to drink. Get medical attention immediatly.

NOTE: Never give an unconscious person anything to drink.

Most important symptoms and affects, both acute and delayed:

-Ocular: may cause eye irritation

- Dermal: Not irritant, may cause skin sensitization

Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:

Irritant to mucous membranes. No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically and supportively. In case of ingestion DO NOT induce vomiting.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinghuising media: Use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding fire conditions

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Dust may form a weak explosive mixture with air (class St1). When heated to decomposition, may release poisonous and corrosive fumes of HBr

Advice for fire-fighters: Cool containers with spray. In closed stores, provide fire-fighters with self-contained breathing apparatus in positive pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear respirator, chemical safety goggles, rubber gloves and boots

Environmental precautions: Prevent product from entering drains, ditches and rivers.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal or possible re-use Avoid raising dust.

Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: When using this substance avoid breathing the substance and use respiratory protection. Keep containers tightly closed. Avoid bodily contact.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials (see "materials to avoid").
