Description of key information

A scientifically accepted estimation of BCF on the basis of the measured log Kow calculated a low BCF value of 56.49 L/kg wet-wet. Therefore 2,3-bis((2-mercaptoethyl)thio)-1-propanethiol can be considered as not bioaccumulative in the aquatic environment.

A BCF/BAF estimation on basis of the measured log Pow (3.16) using the BCFBAF v. 3.00 estimation software calculated very low values of 56.49 and 19.37 L/kg w-w respectively.

Thus, there is no indication that 2,3-bis((2-mercaptoethyl)thio)-1-propanethiol is bioaccumulative in the aquatic environment.
