Additional information

The acute toxicity of CTFEP (purity 91.4%) to Daphnia magna was determined in a static GLP compliant test (Maetzler 2001). The test was performed according to guidelines OECD 201 and EU C.2. The test was started with a Control (0), 0.4, 0.9, 1.9, 4.3, 9.4 mg test item/L, mean measured: control, 0.31, 0.74, 1.7, 4.0 and 8.2 mg test item/L, corresponding to mean measured Control, 0.28, 0.68, 1.55, 3.66, 7.49 mg CTFEP/L. For each test concentration and the control, 2 replicates with 10 daphinds each were set up in 100 mL test solution (250 mL glass vessels). The test was performed in a 16:8 h light dark cycle. Dose-verification analysis was performed and the concentrations were reported as mean measured concentrations. After 48 hours of exposure, 0, 0, 0, 0, 55, and 80 % of the daphnids were immobilized at Control, 0.28, 0.68, 1.55, 3.66, 7.49 mg CTFEP/L. The corresponding 48 h EC50 value is 4.11 mg CTFEP /L.

The test was performed with the technical product of CTFEP. The identity of the impurities was not reported. This study was performed according to international guidelines and under GLP. Therefore, this study was considered to be Klimisch 1 study.

The obtained results are considered as relevant for the risk assessment.
