Description of key information

The melting point of reaction mass of 2,2'-oxybisbutane (DSBE), DIPE, SBA and 2-methylpropan-2-ol (TBA) is < - 80°C. As the melting point does not need to be determined below a lower limit of - 20 ° C (Annex VII of REACH), no main study was performed to determine the exact value.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The melting point of reaction mass of 2,2'-oxybisbutane (DSBE), DIPE, SBA and 2-methylpropan-2-ol (TBA) was assessed according to OECD 102 resp. EU A.1 under GLP. In the study pre-test, the test item cooled to - 80°C was still liquid after six days of storage at this temperature. As the melting point does not need to be determined below a lower limit of - 20 ° C (Annex VII of REACH), no main study was performed to determine the exact value.
