Description of key information

Degradation simulation in water and sediment is not needed due to ready biodegradability of EC 500-029-3 and due to log Kow far below 3 and non classification of 500-044-5.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

EC 500-029-3

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the study does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable.

500-044-5

In accordance with REACH Annex XI, degradation simulation testing in water and/or sediment does not need to be conducted as based on the available data the substance is not classified as hazardous. An environmental emission assessment is therefore not needed and additional information on the degradation of the substance and its degradation products in water and sediment is therefore not required.
