Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 96 h LC50 value was determined at a nominal concentration of 0.33 mg/l. This corresponds to an actual concentration of 0.21 mg/l.
The corrected actual NOEC is calculated at 0.065 mg/l.

Additional information

The acute fish toxicity of Hydroxyambran was determined according to the OECD Test Guideline 203 using Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) as test fish.

During the preliminary test, a mortality of 100 % was observed at the highest concentration level (saturated solution, approxm. nominal 1 g/l), whereas a mortality of 20 % was observed at a dilution of 1:10, within 96 h.

The main test was performed under semi-static conditions (daily renewal of the test solutions) with 6 concentration levels of the test article based on nominal values between 1.030 mg/l and 0.058 mg/l. The serial dilution factor was 1.78.

The LC50 values were calculated as geometric mean from the LC0 and LC100. The 96 h LC50 value was determined at a nominal concentration of 0.33 mg/l. This corresponds to an actual concentration of 0.21 mg/l.

On the basis of the observations performed during the main test, the NOEC was determined at a nominal concentration of 0.103 mg/l. The corrected actual NOEC is calculated at 0.065 mg/l.
