Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study, the density of the test material was determined to be 1.03 x 10³ kg/m³ at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The relative density was determined to be 1.03.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.03

Additional information

The key study was conducted in line with GLP and the standardised guidelines OECD 109 and EU Method A.3. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997).

The density of the test material was investigated using the pycnometer method.

The pycnometer with a defined volume (V) was weighed and filled with the test material. After equilibration at 20 °C in a water bath, the filled pycnometer was re-weighed and the density calculated. Duplicate determinations were performed.
