Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation  Remove patient from exposure.  Obtain medical attention if ill effects occur.

Skin contact  Remove contaminated clothing.  Wash skin with water.  If symptoms develop, obtain medical attention.

Eye contact  Irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes.  Obtain medical attention.

Ingestion  Provided the patient is conscious, wash out mouth with water.  Do not induce vomiting.  Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical advice immediately and show the container, label or this Data Sheet, if possible.

Self-protection of the first aider  Protect yourself and any casualty from further exposure.

It is important that anyone attempting the rescue of an affected person should wear the appropriate respiratory protection and protective clothing.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1  Suitable extinguishing media  water spray, foam, dry powder or CO2

5.2.  Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture  The material may form flammable dust clouds in air.  Take precautionary measures against static discharges.  If involved in a fire, it may emit noxious and toxic fumes.

5.3.  Advice for fire-fighters  A self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

6.1  Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures  6.1.1 For non-emergency personnel  Ensure suitable personal protection (including respiratory protection) during removal of spillages.

6.2  Environmental precautions  Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.  Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must be alerted to the appropriate regulatory body.
