Description of key information

Irritation potential of an analogue substance was determined in rabbits (New Zealand White) according to OECD Guideline 404 (Acute Dermal Irritation / Corrosion) and OECD Guideline 405 (Acute Eye Irritation / Corrosion).
In the dermal exposure study coverage was semi-occlusive for 4 hours.
Both studies showed that the material was not irritating (not classified).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin irritation / corrosion

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not irritating)

Eye irritation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not irritating)

Additional information

An analogue substance did not produce significant irritation responses in skin and eyes of rabbits. Thus, the registered substance is not expected to cause skin or eye irritation.

Justification for classification or non-classification
