Description of key information

No effect up to the limit of the water solubility of the Oleamide was observed. Thus, the EC50 is greater than 100 mg/L (nominal) . The test substance is not harmful to algae.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One GLP guideline study according to OECD 201 is available for stearmide. In the 72 hour algae study with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata no effects on growth rate were observed to a nominal test concentration of 100 mg/L,

corresponding to > 0.93 µg/L as measured test concentration.

This study showed that there were no toxic effects far exceed the water solubility. The test substance is not harmful to algae.
