Description of key information

According to Annex VII, Column 2, a test on explosive properties does not need to be conducted as the substance does not contain chemical moieties suggesting a potential for explosive properties. Furthermore, as not all components could be identified, results of a differential thermal analysis provide evidence that the substance does not pose explosive properties as the exothermic decomposition energy is below 500 J/g at an onset temperature of 250 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on structural considerations and results from a differential thermal analysis, the substance does not need to be classified for explosive properties.
