EC number: 271-240-3 | CAS number: 68526-92-1 A complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by the distillation of products from the hydrogenation of isotridecanal from the hydroformylation of dodecene. It consists predominantly of C10-12 olefins and paraffins and C13 alcohols and aldehydes and boils in the range of approximately 160°C to 253°C (320°F to 487°F).

Description of key information
The HPLC method (in accordance with EC A.8 and OECD 117) was performed to determine the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of Oxooel LS13. The log Pow of the test substance was concluded to be > 6.2 (indicative log Pow range: 7.6 - 8.3)

The HPLC chromatogram of the test substance showed three broad peaks, all with a retention time > reference substance 4,4’-DDT (log Pow of 6.2). It was therefore concluded that the log Pow of the test substance is > 6.2. From extrapolation of the reference substance calibration curve log Pow values in the range 7.6 - 8.3 were indicated.
