EC number: 271-240-3 | CAS number: 68526-92-1 A complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by the distillation of products from the hydrogenation of isotridecanal from the hydroformylation of dodecene. It consists predominantly of C10-12 olefins and paraffins and C13 alcohols and aldehydes and boils in the range of approximately 160°C to 253°C (320°F to 487°F).

Description of key information
The boiling temperature of Oxooel LS13 was determined to be 199.5°C (at 1002 hPa) using differential scanning calorimetry (in accordance with EC A.2 and OECD 103).

Additional information
The ambient pressure during testing deviated from the standard pressure. Therefore the measured boiling temperatures T were converted to normal boiling points Tn by means of the Sidney-Young equation.
In a supporting study (company data, distillation method, limited documentation) a boiling temperature range was reported, from 198 - 259°C. Since this result differs from the DSC result, and because full documentation is not available, this study is not considered in the derivation of the key value for chemical safety assessment.
