Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The toxicity of the substance Isosorbide dioctanoate (CAS 64896-70-4 ) on Daphnia magna has been evaluated according to the OECD Guideline 202 and in compliance with GLP.

This acute test was done under static conditions. A maximum solubility of 1.2 mg/L was obtained for the substance in the test medium using acetone (0.01 ml/L) and this concentration was applied in a limit test.

More than 80% of the nominal concentration was measured at T0. Moreover the stability of the substance in the test medium was controled during the method validation and the substance was demonstrated stable during 48 hours. The results are expressed as nominal concentration.

No immobilisation of the daphnids was observed at the maximum tested concentration of 1.2 mg/L and all the validity criteria were met.

The substance Isosorbide dioctanoate shows a EC50 > 1.2 mg/L and a EC0 1.2 mg/L on Daphnia magna in the conditions of the test.
