No measured data are available for the water solubility of the substance and testing is not feasible because of its hydrolytic instability. Water solubilities for the substance and its silanol hydrolysis product have been obtained using appropriate predictive methods. In practise, the solubility of the silanol will be limited by condensation reactions, forming siloxane dimers, oligomers and polymers. The most soluble component is dimethylsilanol with a solubility of 1000 g/L at 25oC. Dimethylsilanol makes up 20 -35% of MS-Silane. For the purposes of modeling with EUSES we will assume solubility is reduced to 100 g/L by the other constituents and the condensation reactions.
