Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The surface tension has been determined to be 72.7mN/m at a concentration of 0.9 mg/L and at a temperature of 20°C, after 73 hours.
The surface tension has been determined to be 72.3 mN/m at a concentration of 0.5 mg/l and at a temperature of 20°C, after 165 hours.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
72.7
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
0.9

Additional information

The surface tension of aqueous solutions of GEL-ALL-MD has been determined at 72.7 mN/m at a concentration of 0.9 mg/l and 72.3 mN/m at a concentration of 0.5 mg/l by a ring tensiometer method at 20°C. The results showed virtually no difference in surface tension between an aqueous solution of GEL-ALL-MD and that of distilled water.

Surface tension does not vary significantly with time.
