guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Standard Test Method for the Thermal Stability of Chemicals by Differential
Scanning Calorimetry’ - ASTM 537.02, referred to in Methods A1 and A2.

 Analysis Date  Melting Point (°C)
 (a) (b)   Av.
 C630/12/0894  21 January 2013  -43.1  -43.8  -43.5
Conclusions:
The melting point of TBS at 1005.6 hPa was -43.5°C.
Executive summary:

The melting point of TBS at 1005.6 hPa was -43.5°C.

Description of key information

The freezing point was less than - 43.5°C when measured using EU Method A.1.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-43.5 °C
