Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance was determined not to be highly flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The flammability of the test substance was assessed according to EU Methods A10, A12 and A13.

The flammability (solids) was determined by measuring the burning rate of test item prepared as a pile of set dimensions (according to Method A10).

Flammability (Contact with water) (Method A12) and pyrophoric properties (Method A13) were assessed by expert evaluation.

The test substance could not be ignited with a flame but melted in contact with the ignition source.

From the molecular formula of the substance it can be concluded that the substance is incapable of developing an amount of (flammable) gas at a rate greater than 1 litre/kg of test substance per hour in contact with air, damp air or water.

Handling the substance in the scope of the base set testing does not give any reason to assume that it ignites spontaneously at room temperature.

The test substance has been determined to not be highly flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is not highly flammable and does not meet the criteria for classification as a flammable solid.
