Main Tests
Thermal Analysis
A further DSC measurement was performed in the temperature range from 25 °C to 400 °C but with the heating rate adjusted to 10 °C/min. As this measurement showed no clearly defined peak from which decomposition of the test item can be deduced, a capillary test was performed additionally.
Capillary Test
A capillary test was carried out between 220 °C and 400 °C with a heating rate of 10 °C/min for further clarification. Two samples were simultaneously heated and the results obtained visually. Before, during and after the test the appearance of the sample was determined.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- No boiling point could be determined. TOWNREX NU 500 starts to decompose at about 262 °C before boiling occurred.
- Executive summary:
The aim of this study was to determine the boiling point / range of TOWNREX NU 500.
TOWNREX NU 500 starts to decompose at about 262 °C before boiling occurred.
The atmospheric pressure during the measurements was 98.0 kPa.
