First-aid measures

General advice; First aider needs to protect himself. In the case of an accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice. Remove victims from exposure, lie down. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.
Inhalation: Remove the victim to fresh air. Keep patient warm and at rest. If breathing is laboured, administer oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. DO NOT use solvents or thinners. Get medical attention.
Eye contact: Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show SDS or label. If a person vomits when lying on his back, place him in the recovery position. DO NOT induce vomiting.
IF exposed or concerned, get medical advice/attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons: Direct water stream.
Specific hazards during fire fighting: Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread the fire.
Exposure to decomposition products may be hazardous to human health.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Further information: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Use water spray to cool unopened containers. Standard procedure for chemical fires. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions: Worker needs to protect himself. For personal protection, see "Exposure controls/personal protection".
Eliminate all ignition sources. Ventilate the area. Avoid inhalation of vapour or mist.
Environmental precautions: Should not be released into the environment. Avoid subsoil penetration. If the product contaminates rivers, lakes or drains , inform respective authorities.
Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust) and collect in containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling:
Advice on safety handling: Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe vapours, spray or mist. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Use only explosion-proof equipment. Do not smoke. For personal protection, see "Exposure controls/personal protection".
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Avoid formation of aerosol. Avoid all possible sources of ignition (spark or flame). Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge.
Storage
Requirements for storage area and containers: Store in original container. Keep in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place.
Advice on common storage: Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep away from oxidizing agents, strongly acid or alkaline materials and water. Keep away from heat and (sun)light.
Storage temperature: Store at room temperature.
Remarks: No decomposition occurs if store and applied as directed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

This substance is registered as intermediate. Thus the synthesis of (an)other substance(s) from this substance should takes place under the following strictly controlled conditions:
(a) The substance is rigorously contained by technical means during its whole life cycle including manufacture, purification, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sampling, analysis, loading and unloading of equipment or vessels, waste disposal or purification and storage.
(b) Procedural and control technologies shall be used that minimise emission and any resulting exposure.
(c) Only properly trained and authorised personnel handle the substance.
(d) In the case of cleaning and maintenance works, special procedures such as purging and washing are applied before the system is opened and entered.
(e) In case of accident and where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies are used to minimise emissions and the resulting exposure during purification or cleaning and maintenance procedures.
(f) Substance-handling procedures are well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.
Workplace control parameter: no data available.
Engineering measures: General advice: Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work room.
Personal Protection equipment:
Respiratory protection: In the case of vapour formation, use a respirator with an approved filter. Self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 133) in case of higher concentration.
Hand protection: Use chemical resistant gloves. Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific to place of work. For special applications, we recommend clarifying the resistance to chemicals of the aforementioned protective gloves with glove manufacturer.
Eye protection: Please wear suitable protective goggles. Also wear face protection if there is a splash hazard.
Skin and body protection: Impervious clothing.
Hygiene measures: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. When using do not eat or drink. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under usual handling and storage conditions.
Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks.
Materials to avoid contact: Oxidizing agents, strong acids and strong bases.
Hazardous decomposition products: Hydrogen chloride, carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide(CO2).
Thermal decomposition; Heating can release hazardous gases.
Polymerization: This product will not polymerize.

Disposal considerations

Dispose of the contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.
