*The temperature was selected at the ZPA3 corresponding to an initial oven temperature of 200 °C. As the test item showed no ignition at 388.6 °C, a higher temperature was selected for the subsequent ignition trials (corresponding to a new initial oven temperature of 400 °C). Using a constant heating rate, the subsequent ignition trials were conducted every 20 ± 5 K.

The lowest value of the auto-ignition temperature is 353 °C. This value was determined using 12 drops test item. The test item showed auto-ignition after 16 and after 27 seconds. The auto-ignition temperature (result of determination) is the lowest value from the lowest values of the three experiments, rounded down to a whole multiple of 5 °C. Therefore, the auto-ignition temperature is stated as 350 °C.

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of Incozol 4 was determined to be 350 °C at 1013.25 hPa.
Executive summary:

A study was to determine the auto-ignition temperature of Incozol 4 according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.15 and DIN 51794. Three independent determinations were conducted. The auto-ignition temperature was determined to be 368 °C, 353 °C and 353 °C, respectively. According to the criteria as laid down in DIN 51794 the auto-ignition temperatureis the lowest value from three experiments, rounded down to a whole multiple of 5 °C. Therefore, the auto-ignition temperature is stated as 350 °C at 1001 .67 hPa. The three lowest values of the main study lay within a range of 20 K. No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome. Thus, the validation criteria were fulfilled.
