Description of key information

Relative self-ignition temperature: >205 °C, EU Method A.16, Sárvári (2012f).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In the key study (Sárvári, 2012f) the relative self-ignition temperature of the test material was determined in a study performed under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.16.

A certain amount of the test substance was placed in an oven at room temperature; the temperature difference/time curve was recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased to 205 °C at a rate of 0.5 °C/min. For the purpose of this test, the temperature of the oven at which the sample temperature reaches 205 °C by self-heating was called the self-ignition temperature.

Three replicate tests were performed.

No ignition of the test material was observed up to 205 °C.
