Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is a salt that dissociates in aqueous matrix in its acid and alkaline constituents.

Considering the toxicological profile of the intermediate no information is available: for this reason the constituents of the substance itself acetil 2-amino-5-chlorobenzenesulphonic (Acetil ACBS) and pyridine are taken into account in order to assess the two moiety singularly.

Pyridine is classified as Skin Irrit. 2; H315 and Eye Irrit. 2; H319 while ACBS is classified as inconclusive. Since it is not possible to establish if this property is also applicable to the substance and it is not aware of the salt's ionization property; the endpoints (skin and eye irritation) are judged as inconclusive for the classification according to Regulation (EC) n.1272/2008.
