Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of Penta-PSCA Na-TEA is 0.2 Pa at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.2 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The experimental value for the total vapour pressure is 2060 Pa (20°C), which is influenced mainly due to the water content. Therefore it can't be taken as appropriate value and the vapour pressure was calculated assuming that the various components contribute to an extent proportional to their mole fractions.

The calculation gives the following result for the vapour pressure at 20 °C:

Total (active + water): 1215 Pa
Active: 0.2 Pa

(Pentapropenyl succinimido)-hexanoate, sodium and triethanolamine salts: 10-8Pa

Since the calculated vapour pressure for the active is mainly related to the pentapropylene impurity, for the exposure assessment of (Pentapropenyl succinimido)-hexanoate, sodium and triethanolamine salts the vapour pressure of this component ( 10-8Pa) will be used.
