Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

The manufacturing/use of the registered substance fulfils strictly controlled conditions. Therefore, no exposure of man or the environment is expected. In the case of accidental exposure, the following measures should be taken (as reported by the Safety Data Sheet).

- Inhalation:

Remove victim to fresh air. Place the victim in semi-seated position. Rest. Ifbreathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Obtainmedical attention.

- Skin contact:

Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Rinse immediately with plenty of water, for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical advice.

- Eye contact:

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, for at least 15 minutes. Contactophthalmologist immediately.

- Ingestion:

DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Rinse mouth. If swallowed, give  1 pint of water if victim completely conscious/alert. Seek medical attention immediately.

- Emergency medical treatment:

Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

The manufacturing/use of the registered substance fulfils strictly controlled conditions. Therefore, no exposure of man or the environment is expected. In the case of accidental exposure, the following measures should be taken (as reported by the Safety Data Sheet).

Extinguishing media

- Suitable : Carbon dioxide. Dry chemical. Foam. Powder.

- Not to be used : Do not use a heavy water stream.

Accidental release measures

The manufacturing/use of the registered substance fulfils strictly controlled conditions. Therefore, no exposure of man or the environment is expected. In the case of accidental exposure, the following measures should be taken (as reported by the Safety Data Sheet).

- Personal precautions :

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, and protective clothing. Keep public away from danger area.

Technical measures : Eliminate every possible source of ignition.

Handle the product in oxygen - free atmosphere (nitrogen) to prevent vapour/air explosions.

- Environmental precautions

Prevent entry to sewers and public waters.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

After spillage and/or leakage : Dike for recovery or absorb with appropriate material.

Handling and storage

Safe storage (including any incompatibilities)

Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation. Store in dry, well-ventilated area. May be stored at ambient temperature. Protect from low temperatures. Protect from high temperature. Protect from light. Keep container closed when not in use.

Eliminate every possible source of ignition. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.

Storage away from : Oxidizer. Acids. Metal powder. Direct sunlight. All heat sources. Sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Industrial hygiene

Open handling not recommended. Use an adapted installation for handling substances not yet fully tested in a closed system, so that the OEL of the product can be established.

Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.

Personal protection

- Respiratory protection

In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.

- Skin protection

If skin contact or contamination of clothing is likely, protective clothing should be worn.

- Eye protection

Wear full face mask (cfr. EN136) or eye protection (cfr. EN166).

- Hand protection

Wear suitable gloves resistant to chemical penetration (cfr.EN 374).

- Ingestion

When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.

- Others

Wear suitable safety shoes (cfr. EN 345 S2).
