A study was conducted according to Pensky-Martens. The flash point of 2 -chlorobenzaldehyde was determined to be 92 °C in a closed cup. The Gestis database reportsthe flash point of 2 -chlorobenzaldehyde to be 87 °C and the IPCS International Programme on Chemical Safety reports the flash point of 2 -chlorobenzaldehyde to be 90 °C in a closed cup. Three independent sources report the flash point in the same range. Thus, in a worst case view a flash point of 87 °C at 1013 hPa was chosen as key value.
