Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

A GLP-compliant OECD 301D study (Closed Bottle Test), secondary activated sludge from a waste water treatment plant receiving predominantly domestic waste water is available for Polyol IXOL M125. The activated sludge was exposed to 2 mg/L Polyol IXOL M125 for 28 days (Solvay Duphar B.V., 1992a). After 28 days 10% Polyol IXOL M125 was biodegraded (as O2 consumption). Based on these findings the substance was concluded to be not readily biodegradable.
