Any other information on results incl. tables
The skin reactions noted at challenge in test and control groups animals were weak (very slight erythema) and were not observed later than 24 hours after challenge. It was considered more likely that these reactions were non-specific irritation rather than indications of an allergic reaction.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- not sensitising
- Remarks:
- Migrated information
- Conclusions:
- The substance doesn't induce skin sensitization in the Guinea pig.
- Executive summary:
A skin sensitization study has been performed on Guinea pigs. A group of 20 animals was treated with the substance at 50% and 10 animals were used as a control.
Very slight erythema was observed in all animals of both groups at 24 h after challenge. The findings were not observed later.
This erythema was considered as non specific irritation rather than allergic reaction.
The substance is considered as not sensitizing.
