Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Test procedure:
burning time (test type not further specified)
Remarks:
or specified in description of method (migrated information)
Remarks on result:
other: not determined as no propagation of combustion of the test substance occured after removal of the ignition source

Any other information on results incl. tables

In contact with the flame of the gas burner, the test substance melted, emitted sparks and turned into a brown residue. After removal of the ignition source, no propagation of combustion of the test substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
Based on the results obtained during the preliminary screening test, SX-1 is considered ‘not highly flammable’. According to the guidelines, performance of the burning rate test is not required.
