Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no fertility or developmental toxicity/teratogenicity studies available for delta-6-nandrolone. However, delta-6-nandrolone is similar in structure to steroid substances that are known to have both anabolic and androgenic activity, such as nandrolone. Although there is insufficient direct evidence to classify delta-6-nandrolone for developmental toxicity at this time, as a conservative approach delta-6-nandrolone is classified according to CLP as a Category 1B reproductive toxicant (H360Df – suspected of damaging fertility). The risk of limited and controlled use of this substance is not increased by this classification at present.
