Fatty acids, C8-10, triesters with trimethylolpropane (CAS 91050-89-4) is considered as readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. This assumption is based on the results of a GLP guideline following EU Method C.4-D. Due to the ready biodegradability in water a rapid degradation of the substance in aquatic and terrestrial environments is expected. Thus, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2. - 9.2.1.4., further simulation tests for water and sediment or soil biodegradation are not necessary.
