Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006, Annexes IX and X, Column 2, further testing for ultimate biodegradation in soil need not be conducted if the
substance is readily biodegradable, or if direct and indirect exposure to soil is unlikely. The substance has been shown to be readily biodegradable (i.e., 99% degradation in 14 days in a Japanese MITI test). The predicted adsorption coefficient (Koc) for the substance is 90.26 L/kg; this value falls below the range of Koc values of 500-1000, below which substances are unlikely to adsorb to soil. Therefore, additional further degradation testing in soil is not indicated.
