Description of key information

Hydrolysis is not considered to play an important role in the fate of the submission item.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Hydrolysis is not considered to play an important role in the fate of the submission item, due to its high insolubility in water. In Annex VIII column 2 of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, it is laid down that the study on hydrolysis does not need to be conducted if the substance is highly insoluble in water.

This is supported by predictions for this substance using HYDROWIN (v2.00), providing half-lifes which range between days and several years for the submission item. Taking the available information into account, the submission item is considered stable in water. Therefore, a study on hydrolysis is not indicated.
